Velocity Events Group (VEG) acknowledges and supports the need for all persons and businesses to contribute positively to helping our environment. Although a new business, we are committed to ensuring that we consider the impact on the environment across all our service divisions and the initiatives they provide.

Our approach:

1. Carbon Management:
We plan to support the impact on our carbon footprint through solar charging initiatives for our equipment, hybrid or electric vehicles and equipment where possible, LED lighting and good energy management practices in all that we do. Where possible, we will commit to renewable energy procurement.

2. Waste Management:
We are committed to segregating our waste, reducing the use of plastics and are committed to supporting zero waste to landfill. We aim to recycle and promotes sustainable waste management as part of our business and all the services we deliver for our customers.

3. Supply Chain:
Control over our supply chain and working with the right supply partners is part of our business model and commitment. Like minded supply chain, with strong related values, policies and commitments. We are also committed to work in partnership with our supply chain to drive maximum value and benefit for our customers, but also for social impact outlined below.

4. Social Impact:
Here we align ourselves to three meaningful charity organisations. We are committed to raising a minimum of £20k pa through our various activities we facilitate, and in partnership with these charities, helping to fund their projects, research and initiatives. We are also committed to volunteering. We operate a volunteering programme for our initiatives, but our social volunteering is about helping good causes. We are committed to supporting 2 such
events each year as a team, along with £3,000 annual community fund aimed at supporting small local causes through a range of initiatives. We will increase this fund each year and link it with our business performance.

5. Health & Safety:
Given the nature of our service offerings, we work with independent experts when and where required to ensure the tight controls are in place with all the initiatives we deliver. Safety comes first and we have proud partners to help guide us and ensure we maintain a safety and risk record to be proud of.

6. Customer Responsibility:
Customers are at the heart of who we are and what we do. Putting ourselves in our customers shoes is our approach, building great relationships and trust. This being the foundation of a strong partnership with joint values and ethics. If we say we are going to do, then we do it, and we do it to the highest quality we can.

7. Governance and Risk Management:
We operate a risk management register as part of our business plan, reviewed quarterly by directors. We have also introduced a ‘chairman role’ within the business, to help ensure we have the right government and risk practices in place as we evolve and grow over the coming years.
